"rather fun and funny, yet accurate review of the Leica M9", I would add 'bizarre' to that list. Thanks for posting, I'm now battling with a possible purchase again! :)
now that the m8 seems to be hitting rock bottom price wise, I'm seriously thinking about getting one, pretty much to shoot just black and white personal work on... don't fancy trying to talk me out of it do you? ;-)
Well Brian, I must admit that I've been having a look too. I haven't seen rock bottom prices, but certainly much more reasonable prices. Having shot with an M8, first when it came out and more recently around 8 months ago, I must say that I really dislike the camera. The crop factor and colour issues being the main things. The frame line also aren't that accurate. Having said this, for BW shooting and at the right price, then maybe it's not such a bad idea! There's a new M8 here for £2500: http://www.leica-storemayfair.co.uk/ex-display-stock-offers.html
I'll just add that if you can wait and budget for it, the M9 really is so much better! That's what I'm hoping to be able to get sometime this year - if the work picks up!!
